Cincinnati native Lisa A. Bastian CBC is Principal of Bastian Public Relations (BPR), founded in 1986.

She's also an award-winning, seasoned communicator offering companies of all sizes 18 years of writing, research, publicity, copyediting, interviewing & proofreading experience.

BRIEF BASTIAN BIO

• Bastian works as a solo practitioner, a "hired gun" for agencies, or a member of a Virtual Agency (a BPR team of communication professionals created to meet the distinct needs of a particular project or client).
   
• Recipient of six first-place and two second-place writing awards won in metropolitan and regional contests presented by respected professional communicator organizations.
   
• Awarded the Certified Business Communicator (CBC) professional designation, given by the Business/Professional Advertising Association (B/PAA) to individuals passing a four-hour exam.
   
  
• Chosen to be publicly recognized as a trustworthy Contributing Editor or Contributing Writer by national business publications.
   
  
• Member of International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) and American Mensa (high I.Q. society).
   
• Possesses excellent speed-reading skills (often help lower client costs by decreasing time spent on projects).
   
• Graduate of the University of Cincinnati; holds a B.A. in English Literature and Journalism Writing Program Certificate. Recipient of one Scripps-Howard journalism scholarship and two Lee Evans Memorial writing scholarships while enrolled in college.
   
• Personal: Wife of Ed Bastian, manager with Procter & Gamble Pharmaceuticals. Proud mother of Nicholas (b. 1986) and Rachel (b. 1991), the city's best butterfly catcher and an Irish dancer. When torn away from her computer Bastian enjoys playing Frisbee golf, and exploring museums and zoos with her family.
