The Meeting
Manager is the monthly journal of Meeting Professionals International
(MPI), the educational and lobbying "voice" of meeting planners worldwide.
Bastian won four business writing awards for
this publication and is the author of over 40 MPI features, many of
which were coveted cover stories. (Publication recently renamed The

owners of mostly manufacturing companies operating in the U.S. Bastian
has written over 40 articles for this monthly publication, as well as
a dozen ED marketing brochures for cities, states, ED organizations

an affordable content provider of up-to-date ED news serving local and

Ingram's
is Kansas City's award-winning, monthly business magazine. Bastian debuted
the publication's "Beer & Wine" column profiling local people
working in the alcoholic beverage industry. She also was chosen to write
its prestigious 1994 "Corporate Report 100" (profiles of 100
highest income-producing firms) and the "Corporate CEO 100" (profiles
of 100 top CEOs in Kansas City).

Jails
American Jails
is the national, monthly journal of the American Jail Association. BPR
wrote a 2,300-word article about the unique substance-abuse treatment
program a community hospital in Hamilton OH, offered inmates. Helped
build credibility for the program's marketing efforts inside and outside
of the state.

Women's Wear
Daily
Women's Wear
Daily is a famous "business fashion" daily newspaper published
in New York City. BPR was retained by the paper to attend the annual
meeting of Cincinnati-based Mercantile Stores, then write an
article (and file it just a few hours later) about the company's new
"ActiveZone" sportswear division. March 1998.

Anthony Messenger
Although
definitely not a business publication, Bastian wants to recognize this
national, continually award-winning Catholic family magazine (circulation:
480,000) for giving her invaluable writing, editing and organizational
management skills. Bastian worked as an Assistant Editor
