Project: Create fundraising brochure for conference

The American Society for Training & Development (ASTD) is the world’s largest association dedicated to workplace learning and performance professionals. ASTD’s members live in more than 100 countries, and connect in almost 140 local U.S. chapters and 25 global networks. Members work in thousands of organizations of all sizes.

TASKS 

When the Cincinnati chapter of ASTD hosted the national organization’s regional training conference, leadership asked Bastian to serve as the event's Public Relations Co-Chair. In this volunteer role she wrote and produced a corporate sponsorship brochure (on a shoestring budget) designed to raise funds to cover the event's expensive hosting costs.

 

The resulting marketing piece secured over $8,000 ~ an amount which exceeded all expectations.
