AMPIP Marketing Brochure

Client: Special Publications Div. of Area Development magazine

Project: Multi-page brochure used to market AMPIP's extensive network of 200+ office parks in Mexico to foreign and domestic businesses

ThMexican Association of Industrial Parks (AMPIP) is a business organization created in 1986 to represent industrial real estate developers in Mexico. AMPIP offers an extensive network of contacts, a forum to discuss issues affecting industrial parks, promotion of foreign direct investment (FDI), and lobbying to promote public policies that strengthen industrial parks´ competitiveness.  It can assist foreign investors in finding the ideal location for their new operations, including Class A buildings in inventory or Build to Suit projects, for sale or lease.

AMPIP members also provide shelter services for the establishment of a new company in Mexico as quickly and econo
mically as possible. The group then had 57 corporate members (private developers, investment funds and state governments’ industrial trusts). Together they offered more than 200 industrial parks located throughout Mexico with over 30 million sq. ft. in industrial buildings, and 2,000 national and foreign tenants (manufacturing and logistics operations). These parks were responsible for generating 2 million jobs at the time.

TASKS

Bastian was hired by a national magazine to write a major economic development brochure for AMPIP, an important advertiser. She interviewed the association’s president working in Mexico as well as other key stakeholders in the organization. The published brochure was used successfully to raise awareness of AMPIP with American-based companies — mainly manufacturing firms — and help drive new leases in the various office parks scattered throughout Mexico.. The piece was distributed all over the world.
